Sarvam Launches Samvaad: Conversational AI Platform Supporting 11 Indian Languages

Sarvam has announced the launch of Sarvam Samvaad, a multilingual conversational AI platform designed to help enterprises build, test, and deploy AI agents that understand and communicate in 11 Indian languages. The platform facilitates seamless interactions across telephone, WhatsApp, web, and mobile applications, allowing brands to accelerate customer engagement through intelligent automation.

According to Sarvam’s official LinkedIn post, Samvaad is capable of accurately interpreting complex phrases, alphanumerics, and proper nouns, while offering real-time conversation insights. Built for scalability, the platform provides customized pricing models tailored to Indian businesses, enabling organizations to move from pilot to production-ready deployment in just days. Several major Indian enterprises are already leveraging Samvaad at scale.

In addition to Samvaad, Sarvam recently launched Sarvam-Translate, an open-weights translation model fine-tuned on Gemma3-4B-IT, supporting 22 Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, and Manipuri. Optimized for long-form translations, the model ensures structural integrity across formats like LaTeX, HTML, and OCR.

Sarvam has emerged as one of the first startups selected under the IndiaAI Mission to develop sovereign foundational LLMs, with its Sarvam-M—a 24-billion parameter hybrid language model built on Mistral Small—supporting 10 Indian languages.

Following Sarvam’s lead, IndiaAI has selected three more startups—Soket AI, Gnani.ai, and Gan.AI to build indigenous AI models. Meanwhile, Krutrim has teased the launch of Kruti, India’s first agentic AI assistant.
