IIFL Capital Services Limited has welcomed Rekha Warriar as the Chairperson of the Board, With a distinguished career spanning over three decades at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Warriar brings extensive expertise in foreign exchange, financial stability, internal debt management, and rural development. She has also served as a faculty member at RBI’s training colleges and as an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Banking Management, Pune.
Warriar holds a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Bombay and another in Public Policy from Princeton University. She retired as the Regional Director for West Bengal and Sikkim at RBI in 2017. Her deep understanding of financial policy and regulation will be instrumental in strengthening corporate governance and strategic decision-making at IIFL Capital Services Limited.
Her appointment aligns with the company’s focus on enhancing governance standards while ensuring a clear distinction between the roles of Chairperson and Managing Director.
