Bain & Company has appointed Shyam Unnikrishnan as the Managing Partner for its India operations, where he will lead the firm’s growth, strategy, operations, and talent development
With nearly two decades of global consulting experience, Unnikrishnan is an expert in retail, consumer products, strategy, and digital transformation. He previously led Bain’s Innovation & Design practice in APAC and now succeeds Parijat Ghosh, who will head Bain’s Healthcare & Life Sciences practice in APAC.
A Bain veteran of over 16 years, Unnikrishnan has worked in New Delhi, Sydney, and Atlanta, advising clients across India, the Americas, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Australia. His leadership has helped startups, digital unicorns, and multinational companies achieve scalable and profitable growth.
He holds a PGP in Management from IIM Bangalore, where he was President of the Students’ Affairs Council, and a BE (Hons) in Electrical & Electronics from BITS Pilani.
With his proven leadership and expertise, Unnikrishnan is set to drive Bain & Company India’s next phase of innovation and success.
