Times Internet has welcomed Johney Maheshwari as Head of Corporate Development (Investments and M&A). In this role, he will lead M&A and strategic investment initiatives, driving the company’s inorganic growth and expanding its digital ecosystem.
With over a decade of experience in corporate development and investment banking, Johney was previously Associate Director – Corporate Development at Razorpay, where he led major acquisitions, including Ezetap, BillMe, PoshVine, Curlec (Malaysia), and IZealiant. He also spearheaded Razorpay Ventures, investing in early-stage B2B fintech startups.
Before Razorpay, he spent over five years at EY, advising leading financial institutions such as SBI, ICICI Lombard, and NIIF on M&A and fundraising. His career began with Vodafone, with internships at HSBC, RBS, and S M Sehgal Foundation, shaping his expertise in strategic transactions.
At Times Internet, Johney will focus on identifying high-impact investment opportunities, executing value-driven deals, and strengthening the company’s leadership in India’s digital landscape.
