SBI Capital Markets has welcomed Amrendra Singh as the Group Head of Equity Capital Markets, leveraging his extensive two-decade experience within the State Bank of India (SBI) Group. Previously, he served as Deputy General Manager at SBI, where he played a key role in asset-liability management, focusing on liquidity and interest rate risks. His leadership experience includes serving as Regional Head, overseeing 40 branches, and as Chief Risk Officer at SBI-SG, where he implemented corporate governance best practices. A CFA charter holder and Certified Financial Risk Manager, Singh has been instrumental in banking innovation, risk management, and financial market strategies.
In his new role, Singh will lead equity capital market strategies, managing major public issue mandates for Tata Capital, Hero FinCorp, National Securities Depository Ltd., JSW Cement, and Schloss Bangalore. His expertise in anti-money laundering, securities regulation, and financial risk mitigation will strengthen SBI Capital Markets’ position in the investment banking sector. With a deep understanding of financial markets and regulatory frameworks, he is set to drive strategic growth and market leadership.
