Google has unveiled Ananta, its largest campus in India and one of its biggest globally. Located in Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, Ananta—meaning “infinite” in Sanskrit—boasts a 5,000+ seating capacity and is designed with sustainability, accessibility, and an AI-first approach at its core.
The new campus highlights Google’s commitment to AI innovation and digital transformation in India. Preeti Lobana, Vice President & Country Manager, Google India, emphasized, “This campus marks a milestone in the ongoing seismic shift in technology. It reflects our ambition to drive the next transformative leap in AI.”
To minimize its environmental footprint, Ananta integrates water waste recycling, on-site rainwater harvesting, and energy-efficient photochromic glass, reducing power consumption.
Anand Rangarajan, VP of Engineering, Google DeepMind, added, “India provides a remarkable environment for solving global challenges. Ananta stands as a testament to our belief in innovation and commitment to India’s digital future.”
Google, with a workforce of over 10,000 in India, operates across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Gurugram under a hybrid work model. Ananta fosters collaboration with a fully equipped gym, daycare, cafeteria, and a serene mini forest named Aranya
