The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) has appointed Asish Karunakaran as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With a proven track record in IT leadership and digital transformation, Asish will spearhead technology infrastructure enhancements, digital initiatives, and innovation-driven strategies to strengthen NaBFID’s role in infrastructure financing.
Before joining NaBFID, Asish was Vice President of Product Management (BFSI) at Tata Communications, where he led cloud-based financial solutions. He has also held key leadership roles as CTO at ICICI Prudential AMC Ltd and CIO at Vidal Healthcare, overseeing large-scale technology transformations, cybersecurity, and cloud adoption.
A distinguished IT leader, Asish is known for aligning technology with business strategy and driving innovation in highly regulated environments. With a management degree from IIM Indore, he brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic vision. His appointment is set to enhance NaBFID’s digital capabilities, operational efficiency, and innovation-led growth in the infrastructure financing sector.
