Ola’s AI subsidiary, Krutrim AI, has joined forces with Lenovo to build India’s largest supercomputer, aiming to push the boundaries of AI innovation. But what truly sets this initiative apart is the development of Krutrim 3, a groundbreaking 700-billion parameter large language model—one of the most advanced AI models ever built in India.
This partnership comes just weeks after Ola’s founder, Bhavish Aggarwal, announced a ₹2,000 crore investment into AI, with a commitment to expand it to ₹10,000 crore in the coming year. Krutrim AI isn’t just developing infrastructure; it’s also setting up an AI research lab, building custom AI chips, and launching a full-stack AI ecosystem that includes agentic platforms, contact center AI, and manufacturing AI solutions.
Speaking at Lenovo TechWorld India 2025, Ola Group CIO Navendu Agarwal stated,
“We are building the largest infrastructure, and along with Lenovo, the largest supercomputer of India. This will power our AI-first cloud and foundational models, ensuring innovation at scale."
