Solara Active Pharma Sciences has appointed Vishal Mathur as its new Chief Business Officer (CBO). With 25 years of experience in the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) industry, Vishal brings extensive expertise in business expansion, revenue growth, and strategic leadership.
Before joining Solara, Vishal was the Chief Commercial Officer at Cohance Lifesciences, managing a $160 million business and achieving 14% revenue growth across APIs, intermediates, and PFIs. His strategic leadership strengthened commercial performance and operational efficiency.
Prior to that, he served as Executive VP & Chief Marketing Officer at Emcure Pharmaceuticals, where he doubled API business revenue and led sales, marketing, and portfolio development. During his 16-year tenure at Glenmark Lifesciences, he played a pivotal role in driving $160 million in revenue, including the commercialization of Favipiravir during the COVID-19 crisis.
Vishal holds an MBA in Marketing from Chetana’s Institute of Management and an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from Mohanlal Sukhadia University. His expertise in API sales and business strategy positions him as a key driver of Solara’s growth
