Karnataka Unveils Clean Mobility Policy 2025-2030, Aims ₹50,000 Crore Investment & 1 Lakh Jobs

At Invest Karnataka 2025, Karnataka’s Energy Minister K.J. George launched the Clean Mobility Policy 2025-2030, aiming to attract ₹50,000 crore in investments and generate 1 lakh jobs. The policy offers capital subsidies of up to 25%, while Bengaluru-based projects can avail 20% support.

Building on its pioneering 2017 EV policy, Karnataka plans to expand its EV charging network by adding 2,600 new stations, increasing the total from 5,403 to 8,003 stations to support 2.5 lakh electric vehicles. The state will also establish clean mobility clusters in Gauribidanur, Dharwad, and Harohalli, integrating manufacturers, suppliers, and research facilities.

The initiative focuses on fast-charging stations, battery-swapping facilities, and hydrogen fueling infrastructure. To meet workforce demands, Karnataka will collaborate with global institutions and introduce EV-centric training programs across universities and technical institutes.

At the same event, TVS Motor Company signed an MoU with Karnataka to invest ₹2,000 crore, establishing a Global Capability Centre that will create 3,500 jobs and produce 1.5 million vehicles annually.

This comprehensive strategy will further solidify Karnataka’s leadership in sustainable mobility, fostering green energy adoption and reducing carbon emissions
