Infosys has announced a strategic long-term collaboration with Lufthansa Group (LHG) and Lufthansa Systems GmbH (LSY) to accelerate digital transformation in the aviation industry. This partnership aims to enhance software and product development for Lufthansa Group while strengthening LSY’s offerings for external airline customers.
A dedicated Global Capability Centre (GCC) will be established in Bengaluru, focusing on advanced aviation IT solutions and data-driven innovations. The GCC will leverage Infosys Topaz, an AI-first platform integrating generative AI technologies to enhance aviation safety, efficiency, and customer experience.
The collaboration will utilize next-generation AI solutions to address demand volatility and improve operational efficiency across key areas, including finance, flight navigation, network and schedule design, and crew operations.
Thomas Wittmann, CEO of Lufthansa Systems, emphasized the importance of cloud-driven innovation to enhance aviation services, while Ashiss Kumar Dash, EVP at Infosys, highlighted Lufthansa’s confidence in Infosys’ AI- and cloud-based capabilities.
