DBS Bank India has appointed Santanu Mitra as the Managing Director and Country Head for Corporate Banking – Large and Midcap. With a career spanning over two decades, Santanu brings extensive global experience in institutional banking and digital transformation. Prior to this role, he served as MD and Head of Digital Economy and Institutional Banking at DBS Singapore, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the bank’s presence across the technology, media, and telecom (TMT) sectors in India, Singapore, and the United States.
Santanu has also held key leadership positions at PT AXIS Telekom Indonesia and Macquarie Bank International Ltd., contributing significantly to strategic growth and digital innovation. At DBS India, he will focus on expanding the bank’s institutional banking footprint, driving deeper client relationships with large corporates and multinational companies (MNCs).
His appointment marks a strategic move to strengthen DBS’s presence in the Indian corporate banking space and enhance its value-driven offerings to enterprise clients.
