Zip Introduces Intelligent Procurement Automation with Purpose-Built AI Agents

Zip, the $2.2 billion enterprise procurement platform, has launched 50 specialized AI agents to automate the most time-consuming tasks in enterprise purchasing—from contract review and tariff assessment to GDPR compliance and vendor validation. Unveiled at the inaugural Zip AI Summit in Brooklyn, this launch marks one of the most transformative advancements in procurement automation to date.

These agents don’t just assist—they execute. By embedding directly into procurement workflows, Zip enables enterprises to streamline up to 30 approval steps, reducing manual intervention and unlocking cost savings at scale. Early adopters like OpenAI, Canva, and Webflow are already seeing results, with some automating over 1,400 procurement requests in a single month.

Unlike generic chatbots, Zip’s agents are task-specific and enterprise-grade. Built on a no-code platform, they integrate with up to seven internal systems per customer, drawing insights from contracts, payment histories, and compliance records. The platform has already delivered over 4.6 million AI insights and $4.4 billion in tracked procurement savings.

With strategic backing from firms like BOND and Y Combinator, Zip is positioned not as a competitor to ERPs, but as the intelligent orchestration layer on top. As procurement becomes increasingly complex, Zip’s agentic automation offers the clarity, compliance, and control modern enterprises demand.
