Chhattisgarh Launches ₹1000 Cr AI-Focused Data Centre Park in Raipur to Power India’s Digital Future

Raipur, Chhattisgarh – In a significant push towards digital self-reliance, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated one of India’s first AI-driven data centre parks in Raipur on May 4. Developed by Rack Bank Data Centres, the state-of-the-art facility will see an investment of ₹1000 crore over two years, with an additional ₹2000 crore in potential expansion.

Spanning 13.5 acres, including 2.7 hectares dedicated to a Special Economic Zone (SEZ), the data centre park is poised to become a hub for AI-powered services. The initial phase will support 80 MW capacity, scaling to 150 MW, with a focus on sectors like Health Tech, Defence, Fintech, Data Analytics, and Education.

Equipped with GPU-based high-performance computing, AI processing, live data streaming, and recording facilities, the park aims to deliver advanced AI solutions to rural farmers and students—supporting smart agriculture and improved education outcomes.

Expected to generate 500 direct and 1500 indirect jobs, the park will also manage national and global data traffic, enhancing government service delivery and digital infrastructure.

“This is not just a data centre; it’s the digital backbone for a new era of growth and empowerment,” CM Sai said, positioning Chhattisgarh as a potential digital powerhouse.
