Exide Industries Limited has announced the appointment of Manoj Kumar Agarwal as Director – Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The decision was approved at the company’s board meeting, following the retirement of veteran finance leader Asish Kumar Mukherjee, who served in the role for 18 years.
Agarwal, who joined Exide in February 2023 as Deputy CFO, has swiftly demonstrated impactful leadership across core verticals including Finance, Accounts, Audit, Treasury, Taxation, IT, and Procurement. His elevation reflects Exide’s commitment to internal talent development and strategic continuity.
With over 30 years of industry experience, Agarwal brings a strong financial pedigree, having previously held senior positions at Tega Industries Ltd and Vedanta Limited – Aluminium Business. Exide’s MD & CEO, Avik Roy, expressed full confidence in Agarwal’s capabilities to further fortify the company’s financial strength and operational excellence.
