Elon Musk’s AI venture, xAI, has taken a significant leap with the launch of Grok Vision, a feature that gives Grok AI the ability to “see” the world through a smartphone camera. Available on the Grok iOS app (with Android support expected soon), this new capability allows users to point their phone at objects, signs, documents, and more—then ask Grok questions about what it sees in real time. This brings Grok closer to the visual understanding capabilities of rivals like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google Gemini.
But xAI hasn’t stopped there. Grok now supports multilingual audio and real-time search in voice mode for SuperGrok subscribers. Additionally, Grok’s newly introduced memory feature allows the chatbot to retain information from previous conversations, offering more personalized responses. Unique to Grok, users can view and manage what the bot remembers, with a “forget” button for full control.
Earlier this month, Grok Studio was also unveiled, enabling users to collaboratively create documents, code, and even games—similar to tools like Notion and Google Docs.
These developments suggest that Grok is rapidly evolving from a chatbot into a full-featured intelligent assistant, redefining what users can expect from conversational AI.
