Karan Mehta Elevated to Vice President, Human Resources, RBC U.S. at RBC

Karan Mehta has been elevated to the role of Vice President, Human Resources, RBC U.S. at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). In his new position, Karan will lead the U.S. HR function, aligning talent, transformation, and organizational strategies to support RBC’s expanding footprint in the region.

With over 13 years at RBC, Karan has held several leadership roles across HR and business transformation. Most recently, he served as VP, HR, Personal & Commercial Banking, where he also led the culture and change strategy during RBC’s acquisition of HSBC Bank Canada.

He previously held key roles as Senior Director, HR Business Partner, Change Management, and Talent Management, where he was instrumental in Workday implementation for 86,000+ employees and leadership development initiatives.

Before transitioning fully into HR, Karan contributed to RBC’s Business Architecture team, and held earlier roles at TD Bank Group, Ontario Power Generation, and Imperial Oil.

His elevation reflects RBC’s continued focus on strategic HR leadership and transformation in the U.S. market.
