Elastic, a leader in search-powered solutions, has appointed Sanjay Deshmukh as Vice President – Asia-Pacific & Japan (APJ), underscoring its commitment to expanding its regional footprint and accelerating growth.
Sanjay brings over two decades of leadership experience in the enterprise software industry, with an impressive track record at companies like Snowflake, VMware, Citrix, SAP, and Business Objects. Prior to joining Elastic, he served as Senior Regional Vice President for ASEAN and India at Snowflake. He also spent more than seven years at VMware, leading strategic initiatives across Southeast Asia and the broader APAC region.
In his new role at Elastic, Sanjay will spearhead the company’s growth strategy across APJ, foster deeper customer and partner engagements, and drive adoption of Elastic’s AI-powered solutions. His appointment comes at a pivotal time, as enterprises across Asia-Pacific increasingly embrace search-based and AI-driven technologies to accelerate digital transformation.
