Microsoft Appoints Naim Yazbeck as President for Middle East and Africa

Microsoft has promoted Naim Yazbeck to President for the Middle East and Africa (MEA). A Microsoft veteran since 2009, Yazbeck previously served as General Manager, UAE, where he played a pivotal role in advancing the country’s digital transformation and global innovation standing.

In his new role, Yazbeck will oversee strategic initiatives across MEA, including expanding cloud infrastructure, accelerating AI skilling, and strengthening Microsoft’s regional partner ecosystem. His leadership will focus on deepening partnerships aligned with national visions and fostering inclusive economic growth and digital resilience.

Yazbeck’s tenure in the UAE was marked by the landmark Microsoft-G42 partnership, enabling the adoption of AI and cloud technologies across the region. He also championed entrepreneurship, skilling programs, and digital inclusion.

Reflecting on his appointment, Yazbeck emphasized Microsoft’s commitment to building futures through innovation, job creation, and public-private collaboration.

Amr Kamel will succeed Yazbeck as General Manager, UAE, continuing the company’s growth in one of its most dynamic markets.
