Indian-Origin Executive Sabih Khan Named New COO of Apple

In a major leadership transition at Apple, Indian-origin executive Sabih Khan has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer, following the planned departure of longtime COO Jeff Williams later this month. Williams, a 27-year veteran, will temporarily oversee Apple’s design, Watch, and Health divisions until his retirement later this year.

Sabih Khan, originally from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, joined Apple in 1995 and has played a pivotal role in building and managing its global supply chain. Since becoming Senior Vice President of Operations in 2019, he has led Apple’s efforts in advanced manufacturing, environmental sustainability, and ethical sourcing. CEO Tim Cook praised Khan as a “brilliant strategist” who leads with both “heart and values.”

With academic roots at Tufts University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Khan brings both technical expertise and operational excellence. Known for his swift decision-making and deep integrity, his appointment signals a continued focus on resilience and innovation at Apple.

CXO TechBOT extends heartfelt wishes to Sabih Khan on his new role.
