Rakuten India has appointed Prasannakumar G K as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With over a decade of expertise in cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), he brings a wealth of experience in securing technology solutions that enhance business productivity and mitigate risks.
Before joining Rakuten India, Prasannakumar was Senior Information Security Specialist – Global GRC Team at NTT DATA, Inc., where he played a key role in leveraging GRC tools like ServiceNow, OneTrust, and 6Clicks. Prior to that, he spent nearly 11 years at BETSOL, strengthening security frameworks and compliance strategies.
An expert in ISO 27001, SOC, PCI, and CCPA audits, Prasannakumar is skilled in vulnerability management, risk assessment, and incident response. He is also proficient in leading security tools, including LogRhythm, Tenable.io, CrowdStrike, and McAfee.
In his new role, he will focus on enhancing Rakuten India’s cybersecurity posture, driving innovation, and ensuring compliance with global security standards.
