In a strategic move to foster innovation and bilateral business growth, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO). The partnership is aimed at enabling startups from India and Japan to access each other’s thriving startup and innovation ecosystems.
The MoU was formally exchanged between Dr. Tapan Sahoo, Executive Officer – Digital Enterprise, Maruti Suzuki, and Mr. Takashi Suzuki, Chief Director General, JETRO India, in the presence of Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki.
Hisashi Takeuchi, MD & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Startups are key drivers of innovation and economic growth. With this MoU, we aim to provide a platform for Indian startups to explore the Japanese business landscape and co-create cutting-edge solutions for the mobility sector.”
