Challa Sreenivasalu Setty, Chairman of the State Bank of India (SBI), has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA), the apex body representing India’s banking sector. With over three decades of experience in the financial industry, Setty has played a pivotal role in driving banking reforms, financial inclusion, and digital transformation at SBI.
His appointment, confirmed during the IBA managing committee meeting on March 28, 2025, positions him to lead key policy discussions and strengthen industry collaboration. He succeeds MV Rao, Chief Executive of the Central Bank of India.
