NABVENTURES raises ₹450 crore in first close of second fund targeting ₹1,500 crore Finance

The fund will invest in early- to growth-stage startups using technology to address challenges across agriculture and rural markets. Key focus areas include agritech, food and agribusiness, rural fintech, climate-smart solutions, supply chain and logistics, and rural development.

NABARD Chairman Shaji Krishnan V highlighted sustainability, climate resilience, financial inclusion and livelihood creation as priorities.

NABVENTURES has backed 23 enterprises through its earlier funds, with portfolio companies including Unnati, Eggoz, Beyond Snack and Jai Kisan. Its investment portfolio also includes Aquapulse, which raised ₹25 crore in a Series A round involving NABVENTURES and KisaanSay through the AgriSURE Fund.

The fundraise comes as India’s agritech funding faces a slowdown, increasing the importance of capital supporting scalable, sustainable rural businesses.
