Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, marking a key leadership transition for one of India’s largest power transmission companies. In this role, he will drive the organization’s strategic direction, focusing on expanding transmission infrastructure and strengthening the nation’s power grid network.

Prior to this elevation, he served as Director (Projects) at Power Grid, where he played a pivotal role in executing large-scale transmission projects critical to India’s energy sector. His leadership has been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency and delivering complex infrastructure initiatives.

He has also served as Chief Executive Officer at Powertel, contributing to advancements in telecom and digital infrastructure.
