Dubai-based Solstice Data has announced a major investment of $6.3 billion (₹52,600 crore) to establish an AI-driven high-performance computing (HPC) data center at KINFRA Industrial Park in Mattannur, Kerala. The project, planned over a 5–7 year period, marks one of the largest data center investments in India’s emerging digital infrastructure landscape.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Solstice Data and KINFRA, with 100 acres of land allocated for the development. The facility is expected to support advanced AI workloads, cloud computing, and large-scale data processing, contributing to Kerala’s growing position in the digital economy.

With a global portfolio of over 60 data centers, Solstice Data aims to strengthen regional digital capabilities. However, industry observers highlight that the project will need to compete with established players such as NTT, CtrlS, AdaniConneX, and Reliance Jio in India’s rapidly expanding data center market.
