In a significant step toward sustainable space operations, Pixxel has entered into a strategic partnership with Cosmoserve Space to develop a technology demonstration mission focused on orbital debris removal. Under the collaboration, Pixxel will provide the satellite platform, while Cosmoserve Space will integrate its proprietary debris capture and removal system for in-orbit validation.

Chiranjeevi Phanindra B highlighted Pixxel’s proven engineering capabilities, citing the successful deployment of its Firefly satellite constellation as a strong foundation for this mission. Awais Ahmed emphasized that the collaboration aligns with the company’s broader vision of enabling a sustainable and responsible space ecosystem.

This initiative comes amid Pixxel’s continued expansion, including its recent collaboration with Exotrail for electric propulsion integration and its leadership in developing a 12-satellite Earth observation constellation for India. The mission is expected to validate scalable debris removal solutions, addressing one of the most pressing challenges in the global space industry.
