Ajay Harlal Tyagi has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at Lekki Freeport Terminal. He will lead strategic and operational functions for the Lekki Port Container Terminal, focusing on efficiency, safety, and service excellence while collaborating with leadership to reinforce its position in global maritime trade.

Ajay brings over three decades of international experience across ports, shipping, and logistics. Prior to this, he served as COO at Naghi Marine and YILPORT ATSL – Takoradi, driving operational performance and terminal efficiency. His career also includes senior leadership roles at ARISE IIP, Gabon Special Economic Zone, International Container Terminal Services, Inc., and DP World, where he contributed to large-scale port development, transformation, and expansion initiatives across global markets.

With deep expertise in port operations and logistics strategy, Ajay is set to enhance the terminal’s role as a key international trade gateway.
