Gully Labs Secures Series A Funding to Power India-Rooted Sneaker Brand and Expand Reach Startup Stories

Indian deep-culture sneaker brand Gully Labs has raised ₹30 crore in a Series A funding round led by Saama Capital, with participation from existing investor Zeropearl VC and a host of angel backers, as it accelerates its expansion and product strategy in the dynamic footwear market.

Founded in 2023 by sneaker enthusiasts Arjun Singh and Animesh Mishra,Gully Labs builds sneakers that fuse Indian cultural narratives with contemporary design. The brand has rapidly gained traction with designs inspired by regional motifs and celebrations, combining craftsmanship with modern aesthetics to appeal to sneakerheads seeking distinct identity in footwear.

The fresh capital will be deployed to broaden the product portfolio, strengthen offline retail presence across key Indian cities, and boost international visibility, particularly in markets such as the US and the UK where demand is already emerging. Early momentum has seen the startup establish stores and grow annualised revenue, and the new funding aims to propel Gully Labs toward its ambitious target of becoming a ₹100 crore brand.

With the additional resources, the startup also plans to hire talent, enhance design capabilities, and fortify its community-led brand positioning in a competitive footwear landscape.
