Collins Aerospace Opens 26-Acre Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Bengaluru to Boost Global Operations Manufacturing

Collins Aerospace, a business unit of RTX, has inaugurated a 26-acre state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at the KIADB Aerospace Park in Bengaluru, expanding its global production footprint. The new Collins India Operations Centre (CIOC) will manufacture more than 70 aerospace products, including seats, lighting systems, cargo systems, communication and navigation systems, temperature sensors, and evacuation slides for global markets.

“The CIOC will drive operations and manufacturing excellence across our global network,” said Roy Gullickson, Senior Vice President of Operations at Collins Aerospace. The facility integrates AI, additive manufacturing, robotics, and an Industry 4.0 building management system to enhance production efficiency and quality.

Certified LEED Silver and Indian Green Building Council Silver, the centre underscores Collins’ commitment to sustainability. It is expected to employ over 2,200 people by 2026, reinforcing India’s role as a strategic hub in Collins Aerospace’s global growth and innovation roadmap.
