Renesas Electronics Corporation has elevated Balaji Kanigicherla to the role of Vice President, Head of Engineering, and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), reinforcing the organization’s core focus on strategic growth. This elevation reflects Renesas' emphasis on nurturing internal talent and building strong leadership capabilities.

In his new role, Balaji will oversee strategy, with a mandate to drive innovation, optimize R&D efficiency, and strengthen architectures. Leveraging his deep functional expertise, he will align engineering execution with Renesas' business objectives, ensuring sustainable value creation.

Balaji previously served as Co-CTO at Renesas, where he was instrumental in strengthening efficiencies and delivering process improvements. His leadership contributed significantly to streamlining engineering functions.

Prior to joining Renesas, Balaji held leadership roles at Intel Corporation and founded Ineda Systems. He gained extensive experience across chip development. His exposure across automotive and IoT sectors equipped him with a strong understanding of operational dynamics.
