Accenture Acquires Excelmax Technologies to Boost Semiconductor Design Services

Accenture has acquired Excelmax Technologies to enhance its semiconductor design capabilities. Excelmax provides custom silicon solutions for consumer devices, data centers, AI, and edge AI deployments, catering to the automotive, telecommunications, and high-tech industries. This acquisition adds 450 skilled silicon professionals to Accenture's Advanced Technology Centers in India, expanding expertise in emulation, automotive, physical design, analog, logic design, and verification.

 

Mahesh Zurale, Global Lead of Advanced Technology Centers Global Network at Accenture, stated, "With rising global demand for silicon solutions, growing our talent in India will help accelerate innovation for our clients worldwide." Accenture employs around 750,200 people globally and continues to invest in expanding its capabilities.

 

This acquisition follows the purchase of Canada's XtremeEDA in 2022. Accenture's recent acquisition spree included 35 deals worth $5.2 billion in the last fiscal year, doubling from $2.5 billion in FY23. The company forecasts revenue growth, with a focus on new demand and generative AI as a growth area.
