GCC
The GCC will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), generative AI and agentic AI to enhance power-sector operations. Its key priorities will include asset health monitoring, energy demand forecasting, operational efficiency and investment planning across energy projects.
Tata Power also plans to explore emerging technologies such as digital twins, knowledge graphs, blockchain and simulation systems. These technologies could support applications across renewable energy, power grids, manufacturing and pumped-hydro projects.
Beyond strengthening its internal digital capabilities, the centre could also develop digital products and services for external customers, creating opportunities to extend its technology expertise across the energy ecosystem.
The investment highlights the growing role of AI and advanced digital technologies in modernising India’s power infrastructure while creating skilled employment opportunities.
