Manoj Murali has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi), effective October 19, 2026. In his new role, he will contribute to the telecom operator’s operational priorities and next phase of growth.
With over 25 years of impeccable experience in the telecommunications and mobility sectors, Manoj brings expertise in revenue growth, market share expansion and profitability across large, multi-geography operations in India and Africa.
Before joining Vi, he served as Chief Business Officer at Ola Electric, where he led the transition towards a dealer-led retail network across India. Earlier, he was Regional Business Head - West at Jio, overseeing operations across six states and regions.
Manoj spent more than 23 years with the Airtel Group, most recently serving as Managing Director of Airtel Uganda. His leadership journey also included roles as CEO of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, COO of Rajasthan and Business Head of Andhra Pradesh, alongside international assignments in Sri Lanka, Seychelles and the Channel Islands.
He holds an MBA from SIBM Pune and a Bachelor of Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
