Seasoned Leader Rishi Awasthi has been appointed Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund (ABSLMF). In his new role, he will focus on strengthening the organisation’s information security, cyber risk management and governance frameworks.
Rishi brings extensive experience across information security, technology risk, IT systems assurance and regulatory compliance. Before joining ABSLMF, he served at Aditya Birla Capital as Lead for Governance, Risk and Compliance and Data Security from May 2023 to September 2026, overseeing key areas of enterprise risk and information protection.
Earlier, he spent four years at RSM India, progressing through roles in IT Systems Assurance, including Assistant Associate Director, Senior Manager and Manager. His expertise spans cloud security, IT audits, application portfolio management, business controls assessments and the implementation of international standards, including ISO 27001 and ISO 22301.
He holds an MBA specialising in Information Technology and has completed the General Management Programme at the Indian School of Business (ISB).
