Kaltura Launches AI-Powered Accessibility Agent to Help Institutions Meet Global Digital Accessibility Standards AI

Kaltura, the AI Video Experience Cloud, has launched its new Accessibility Agent, an AI-driven solution designed to help universities and public institutions comply with upcoming digital accessibility regulations, including the U.S. Title II rules and the European Accessibility Act.

These regulations mandate that all new and existing video content be fully accessible, complete with captions and audio descriptions. For organizations with vast video libraries; spanning lectures, tutorials, and events, manual compliance is a massive challenge as the regulations take effect in April 2026.

Kaltura’s Accessibility Agent automates this process by reviewing entire video libraries, generating captions, and adding audio descriptions to ensure content meets accessibility requirements. The AI tool not only simplifies compliance but also enhances engagement, retention, and discoverability across learning platforms.

“By automating much of the accessibility work, we’re helping institutions focus on effective teaching while ensuring inclusivity,” said Eynav (Navi) Azaria, Chief Product and Engineering Officer at Kaltura.

Kaltura will showcase the Accessibility Agent at the upcoming EDUCAUSE Annual Conference in Nashville, alongside its Class Genie, another AI innovation enabling personalized learning experiences.
