Industry Veteran Dev Ranganathan Joins AVL as Vice President

Dev Ranganathan has joined AVL in India as Vice President, where he will lead solution development and portfolio building across electrification, e-mobility, E/E architecture, and ADAS/AD technologies.

With 27 years of exemplary experience in the automotive industry, Dev brings extensive expertise in engineering leadership, electric vehicles, automotive electronics, functional safety and technology strategy. He has led multi-country engineering teams and delivered automotive programmes across the US, Europe, India, Vietnam, Korea and ASEAN markets.

Before joining AVL, Dev served as Platform Director and Head of EE for Large & Premium EV Programs at VinFast, where he built and led global teams supporting the launch of the VF3-VF9 electric vehicle range.

His career also includes significant contributions to Tata Motors and Suzuki, spanning electronic systems, instrument clusters, climate control and cost transformation. He has worked across EV powertrains, zonal architectures, ADAS Level 2 and FOTA-ready E/E systems.

In his new role, Dev will focus on developing solutions and building technology portfolios for the evolving mobility ecosystem.
