Bhavna Kumar Appointed as Managing Director – Human Resources at BNP Paribas India

Bhavna Kumar brings over two decades of experience across human resources, talent management, business transformation, organisational change and strategic HR leadership. She joins BNP Paribas India after nearly 11 years with Deutsche Bank, where she most recently served as Global HR Lead – Investment Banking, Sustainability, Risk, Finance and Treasury Technology, supporting around 8,000 employees across the USA, UK, Europe, APAC and MEA. She also served as Head HR – Infrastructure India, covering Finance, Technology, Risk and other infrastructure functions across multiple Indian locations.

Earlier in her career, she held HR leadership roles at Trafigura, Standard Chartered Securities and Standard Chartered Bank, with experience spanning talent acquisition, M&A, organisational transformation, employee engagement and HR business partnering. An XLRI Jamshedpur alumna, she holds a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources and Personnel Management and a bachelor’s degree in Economics. At BNP Paribas India, she will focus on shaping the people agenda, strengthening leadership, building an inclusive and high-performing culture, and supporting business growth.
