Piyush Baranwal Elevated to Partner at Deloitte

Piyush Baranwal has been elevated to Partner at Deloitte in the Greater Delhi Area, following his tenure as Director since January 2023. He brings extensive experience across cybersecurity, digital transformation, technology strategy, IT-enabled business transformation and enterprise technology. During his career with the Indian Navy, he held several technology and leadership roles, including Cybersecurity Leader, Chief Technology Officer, Senior Information Technology Security Officer and Dy CTO Frontline Warship.

During his service with the Indian Navy, he led technology and cybersecurity initiatives involving classified data, naval cloud and networks, public key infrastructure and secure connectivity across naval assets. He also worked with organizations including BSNL, MTNL, Airtel, Microsoft, Check Point, Cisco, RSA, BMC and Tejas, while contributing to strategic IT transformation and operational programs. Earlier, as Chief Information Officer at the Indian Naval Academy, he led digital projects covering data centres, ERP, IPT/CAN and training systems.
