Geoff Boneham has been appointed as Director AML Remediation Program at Western Union in Australia, bringing extensive experience across financial services, technology transformation, programme management, and operational leadership. Before joining Western Union, he spent more than eight years at Commonwealth Bank, most recently serving as Executive Manager – Portfolio, Workforce & Supplier Management, after previously working as Business Manager – Traded Products, Markets Technology. He has also held consulting and transformation roles with Vinnies Australia and Allianz Australia, along with APAC PMO experience at Deutsche Bank.
In his new role, he brings expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), PMO setup, commercial management, workforce and supplier management, and technology transformation. His background across major financial institutions has involved managing portfolios, supporting technology programmes, establishing PMO frameworks, and driving transformation initiatives. At Western Union, he will focus on AML remediation, supporting the organisation’s regulatory, risk, and compliance priorities across its Australian operations.
