Genesys International Corporation Ltd has secured a ₹283 crore World Bank Group-funded contract to develop a 3D digital twin and spatial intelligence platform for Ahmedabad, marking one of India’s largest city-scale digital twin initiatives.
The project will digitally map approximately 625 sq km and 25 lakh properties across Ahmedabad, creating a unified Geographic Information System (GIS) platform integrating land parcels, roads and critical civic infrastructure, including water, sewerage and stormwater networks.
Part of the Gujarat Resilient Cities Partnership programme, the project is expected to be completed over two and a half years, followed by five years of operations and maintenance.
Genesys will also map underground infrastructure and establish survey control points to enhance the accuracy and reliability of the digital database.
Sajid Malik, Chairman and Managing Director, said the initiative will create a high-precision digital representation of Ahmedabad, supporting applications across urban planning, disaster preparedness and civic services.
