Bengaluru-based space technology firm Ethereal Exploration Guild has successfully raised $20.5 million in a Series A funding round co-led by TDK Ventures and BIG Capital, marking a pivotal progression in India’s commercial space sector. The round attracted robust participation from global and domestic investors, including Accel, Prosus, YourNest Venture Capital, BlueHill Capital, Campus Fund, and Riceberg Ventures, underscoring strong market confidence in next-generation launch solutions.
The capital infusion will be strategically allocated to accelerate development of the company’s fully reusable medium-lift launch vehicle, Razor Crest Mk-1, engineered to significantly lower orbital access costs while enhancing payload efficiency. The funding will support extensive engine testing, integration activities, infrastructure expansion, and advancement toward key demonstration milestones slated over the coming years.
Founded in 2022 by aerospace innovators Manu J. Nair, Shubhayu Sardar, and Prashanth Sharma, EtherealX is focused on establishing scalable and cost-efficient launch capabilities tailored to the burgeoning demand for commercial payload deployments. Razor Crest Mk-1 is designed for versatility, capable of deploying payloads into low Earth orbit and beyond, positioning the company to address a broad segment of global launch requirements.
This funding milestone not only reinforces investor belief in India’s spacetech potential but also strengthens the domestic ecosystem’s momentum toward self-sustained and competitive access to space.
