Altan Raises $2.5 Million to Automate Software Creation with Agentic AI AI

Barcelona-based Altan, a startup developing agentic AI platforms, has raised $2.5 million to automate software creation and management. Founded in 2023 by cofounders Albert Salgueda and Tristán Pou, Altan enables users to generate software through text or voice prompts, eliminating the need for traditional development teams.

The platform deploys teams of AI agents with specialized roles such as UX designers and full-stack engineers, that handle everything from building internal databases to managing backend automations. Users range from non-technical founders to companies, with Altan already serving around 25,000 users. For instance, a restaurant can now get a fully customized reservation system or inventory management software in hours, a process that previously took weeks.

Altan currently offers a subscription-based model, with plans starting at approximately $25 per month. Its fundraising round was led by VentureFriends and JME Ventures, with participation from 4Founders Ventures, ElevenLabs’ Carles Reina, and angel investors. The startup plans to use the capital to expand its seven-member team and scale its AI-powered software solutions.

As AI-assisted coding tools surge in popularity, Altan positions itself at the forefront of automating software development, helping businesses accelerate operations and reduce reliance on human developers.
