Bengaluru-based AI-powered experience-tech startup Alive App has raised $1 million in a funding round led by Powerhouse Ventures and Flipkart Ventures. The company will use the fresh capital to strengthen its product and technology capabilities and expand the supply of leisure experiences across Indian cities.
Founded by Vivek Kumar, Alive App helps consumers discover curated experiences across adventure, food, wellness, art, culture and learning. The platform currently operates across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Goa, offering more than 500 experiences through a network of 400+ creators and partners. The startup adds around 100 new experiences each month and says more than 90% of bookings are for local experiences.
Alive App is targeting threefold revenue growth over the coming months and aims to increase repeat usage. It has also reported its first profitable quarter in Bengaluru, although financial figures were not disclosed.

The experience economy is shifting towards hyperlocal discovery, with consumers increasingly seeking activities within their own cities rather than primarily through travel.
