Enterprise AI
L&T Technology Services (LTTS) and industrial AI company Cognite have entered into a strategic partnership to develop and deliver AI and data solutions for asset-intensive industries globally. As part of the collaboration, LTTS has established a dedicated Cognite Centre of Excellence and certified an initial group of more than 50 engineers.
The companies will co-develop industry-specific solutions for Oil & Gas, Chemicals, LNG, CPG/FMCG, Mining and Industrial Manufacturing. The partnership will focus on AI-powered industrial applications, digital twins, predictive maintenance and operational intelligence platforms.
The first joint project is already underway with a global top-10 oil and gas company, aimed at transforming a manual mechanical-integrity process into a contextualised and scalable digital workflow to improve efficiency, accelerate risk identification and help prevent downtime and safety events.
The Bigger Picture
The partnership reflects the growing shift from AI experimentation to production-scale deployment across asset-intensive industries, where connected data and engineering intelligence are becoming critical to operational performance.
By combining LTTS’ engineering and asset-lifecycle expertise with Cognite’s industrial AI and data capabilities, the collaboration could help enterprises move AI applications from pilots into scalable industrial workflows.
