AWS Introduces Amazon Connect Health to Automate Healthcare Administration with AI Health

Amazon Web Services has unveiled Amazon Connect Health, an AI-agent powered platform developed to help healthcare organizations streamline administrative operations such as appointment scheduling, patient verification, and clinical documentation.

The HIPAA-eligible system integrates seamlessly with electronic health record platforms and commonly used clinician tools, enabling healthcare providers to automate routine tasks and reduce operational complexity. The platform’s AI agents are designed to manage sophisticated workflows including medical history reviews, clinical documentation, and medical coding.

The launch represents AWS’s first major regulated platform built specifically around autonomous AI agents capable of supporting healthcare environments where compliance, data security, and accuracy are critical. Pricing for the service begins at $99 per user per month, supporting up to 600 patient encounters.

This development strengthens AWS’s broader healthcare technology portfolio, building on solutions such as Amazon Comprehend Medical and Amazon HealthLake. The initiative reflects growing industry momentum toward AI-driven automation aimed at improving efficiency and addressing clinician burnout across the global healthcare ecosystem.
