Unacademy Appoints Sumit Jain as CEO of Test Preparation Business Leadership

Edtech unicorn Unacademy has appointed Sumit Jain, co-founder and CEO of its subsidiary Graphy, as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its flagship Test Preparation business. The announcement was made by co-founder Gaurav Munjal on X.

Jain, who co-founded CommonFloor before launching Graphy, joined Unacademy in 2020 as a co-founder. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening financial discipline, improving unit economics, and enhancing the learner experience in Unacademy’s test prep vertical, which continues to be the company’s primary revenue driver.

Munjal highlighted their long-standing association and Jain’s significant impact on growth and efficiency. The leadership transition comes as Munjal and fellow co-founder Roman Saini step back from day-to-day operations to focus on Airlearn, Unacademy’s new language-learning venture that is rapidly expanding in international markets.

As CEO, Jain will now lead both online and offline preparation for UPSC, IIT-JEE, NEET, CAT, along with Unacademy’s growing network of physical learning centers.

CXO TechBOT extends its best wishes to Sumit Jain on this new leadership journey.
