Garuda Aerospace reportedly raises ₹96 crore in pre-IPO funding Finance

Chennai-based drone manufacturer Garuda Aerospace Limited has reportedly raised approximately $10 million (around ₹96 crore) in a pre-IPO funding round, with participation from the Motherson family office and Aditum Investment Group.

According to reports, the investment values the company at approximately $320 million on a pre-money basis. Garuda Aerospace is also reportedly targeting an initial public offering (IPO) in the first quarter of 2027.

The company’s financial performance adds context to its expansion plans. For FY26, Garuda Aerospace reported operating revenue of ₹206 crore, representing 67% year-on-year growth, while net profit reached ₹26 crore, up 41%.

Founded in Chennai, the company operates across multiple drone applications, including agriculture, defence, infrastructure and surveillance.

The reported fundraising highlights the growing interest in India’s drone industry as companies move towards larger-scale manufacturing, commercial deployment and public-market ambitions.

However, the proposed IPO remains a reported target, not a confirmed listing date. Garuda’s next phase will depend on sustaining growth, strengthening operations and meeting regulatory requirements.
