Ionage, an AI-enabled energy management platform, has raised $1.3 million in pre-Series A funding to expand its EV charging interoperability network across India. The round was led by strategic investors and a consortium of CXOs from leading global energy and infrastructure companies.
The company aims to connect charging point operators (CPOs), fleet operators, real estate developers and individual charging stations through a unified software layer that simplifies charger discovery, access and payments.
Ionage has onboarded over 25,000 four-wheeler charging points, supports more than 63 fleets and works with over 75 charging partners. Its network spans 33 states and Union Territories, covering nearly 3,000 cities.
The fresh capital will support its goal of connecting all active charger networks in India, improving charging station efficiency and expanding access for electric vehicle users and smaller charging operators.
“Every stakeholder in this ecosystem is operating in a fragmented manner,” said Vimal Kumar V, Co-founder and CEO of Ionage, highlighting the need for greater interoperability and reliability.
