Sunfox Technologies raises $7 million in Series A funding Health

Dehradun-based medtech startup Sunfox Technologies has raised $7 million in a Series A funding round led by Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital and 3one4 Capital. The round marks the company’s largest funding raise to date.

Founded in 2016 by Rajat Jain, Arpit Jain, Sabit Rawat, Nitin Chandola and Saurabh Badola, Sunfox has developed Spandan, a portable ECG platform designed for personal, clinical and institutional use. The platform enables frontline health workers to capture ECGs and share them with remote doctors for interpretation, helping identify critical cardiac patterns and accelerate treatment.

The company will use the fresh capital to expand across India, strengthen its global go-to-market capabilities and increase investment in research and development. Around 60,000 Spandan devices have been deployed across India, reaching more than 20,000 villages, while Spandan One screens approximately 5 million patients annually.

Sunfox already has regulatory approvals in India, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa and is pursuing clearances in the US and European Union.

Why It Matters

Sunfox’s latest round highlights the growing potential of Indian medtech innovation to deliver accessible cardiac diagnostics at scale, particularly across underserved communities and global emerging markets.
